Description

Indulgent martini made with melted white chocolate and mixed with cream and vodka.

Ingredients

  • 2-½ ounces, weight High-quality White Chocolate
  • 1 whole Orange Wedge, One Section Is Fine
  • 1 ounce, fluid Heavy Cream
  • 2 ounces, fluid Vodka

Preparation

1. Put your vodka and glass in the freezer.

2. Grate the white chocolate onto a saucer or plate; I used a microfine grater.

3. After the glass is well chilled, remove it from the freezer.

4. Take orange wedge and rub it around the rim of the glass.

5. Take the glass, with the rim still wet, and dip it in the grated white chocolate.

6. Put glass back in freezer (be careful to not knock off the grated white chocolate).

7. Put the remaining white chocolate in a microwave-safe container.

8. Add 1 ounce of heavy cream to the white chocolate and put it in the microwave and heat in 30 second intervals on low (I used the defrost level because you do not want it to scorch!)

9. Each time the microwave is done, stir and repeat with additional 30 second increments until all the white chocolate is melted.

10. While the white chocolate is melting, pour 2 ounces vodka into a cocktail shaker.

11. When the white chocolate is melted, allow it to cool for a couple of minutes (it should not be hot) pour it into the shaker with the vodka.

12. Shake and pour into the chilled glass (this is why you don’t want the mixture to be hot—otherwise the glass could break).
