Description
Easy variation of an old favorite with some adjustments to make it a grown up drink or a kid’s favorite.
Ingredients
- 2 cups Heavy Cream
- 6 cups Whole Milk
- 1 package (11 Oz. Package) Nestle’s White Chocolate Chips
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- ¼ cups Chocolate Shavings (optional)
- 1 teaspoon Peppermint Schnapps Or Disarrono

- FOR THE WHIPPED CREAM (optional):
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
- 1 Tablespoon Sugar
Preparation
In a large pot, heat the heavy cream and the milk until just before it starts to boil. Remove from heat and add the bag of white chocolate chips and stir with a wisk until melted. Add the vanilla.
Optional for whipped cream: if you want to make your own whipped cream, put a cup of heavy cream with a teaspoon of vanilla extract and a tablespoon of sugar in a small bowl and beat till firm (a handheld shake mixer works nicely). Spoon some over each cup of white hot chocolate and top with chocolate shavings.
A teaspoon or so of peppermint Schnapps or an amaretto like Disarrono is a flavorful addition for adults.
