Ingredients

  • 1-½ cup Whole Wheat Pastry Flour
  • 1 Tablespoon Baking Powder
  • ½ teaspoons Cinnamon
  • ¾ cups Applesauce
  • 1 cup Milk
  • 2 whole Egg Whites
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract

Preparation

Stir together the dry ingredients in a small bowl. Combine the wet ingredients in a large bowl and pour the flour mixture over the wet ingredients. Stir just until combined.

Lightly grease and heat a griddle over medium high heat. Pour about 1/4 worth of batter onto the hot griddle. These little guys puff up quickly. Once bubbles appear, flip the pancake.

These pancakes are a tasty treat alone, or topped with all kinds of goodies like fresh apple slices, warm maple syrup, a few chopped toasted walnuts, or an apple cinnamon raisin topping would be great!
