Description

This Creamy Hot Cocoa Mix is not only easy to make, it’s much better than the processed mixes. You can whip it up in minutes in your food processor or blender. Give it away for a gift, too—just package in an airtight container and tie it off with a festive bow. See the related blog post for step-by-step recipe pictures.

Ingredients

  • ¾ cups Nonfat Dry Milk Powder
  • ½ cups Powdered Sugar
  • 6 Tablespoons Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
  • 6 Tablespoons White Chocolate Chips Or Finely Chopped White Chocolate
  • 1 dash Salt

Preparation

Add all of the ingredients to the bowl of your food processor or blender. Process the ingredients until the white chocolate is finely ground. Store the dry mix in an airtight container for up to 3 months.

This makes a terrific holiday gift. Just pack in an airtight jar and tie a bow around the lid. Make sure to include instructions.

Instructions for one serving of hot cocoa: Add 3 heaping teaspoons of the cocoa mix into an 8-ounce mug. Add hot water or hot milk and stir to combine (milk will make it extra-creamy, but it will still be creamy with just water).

Top with a generous portion of whipped cream, chocolate shavings, and/or mini marshmallows (they even make the super tiny, firmer marshmallows reminiscent of the processed package hot cocoa).
