Description

Easy 10-minute holiday appetizer! Ooey, gooey mozzarella and Parmesan cheese crostini topped with crumbled bacon and Italian herbs.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Shredded Part-skim Mozzarella Cheese
  • 2 Tablespoons Freshly Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 2 slices Bacon, Cooked Over Medium Heat Until Crispy Then Crumbled
  • 1 whole Green Onion, Thinly Sliced
  • ¼ teaspoons Dried Oregano
  • ¼ teaspoons Garlic Powder
  • 2 Tablespoons Reduced Fat Mayonnaise
  • 1 loaf Whole Grain Baguette, Sliced To Your Desired Thickness (aim For About 15 Slices)

Preparation

1. Preheat oven to 400 F.

2. In a medium bowl, combine mozzarella, Parmesan, crumbled bacon, green onion, oregano and garlic powder. Add mayonnaise and stir until combined.

3. Spoon mixture onto sliced bread and put the bread onto a baking sheet. Bake for 6-7 minutes, or until melted and the edge of the cheese just barely shows golden brown.

4. Serve immediately.
