Description
Melt in your mouth shortbread cookies with a delicious twist: chocolate!
Ingredients
- 1 cup Flour
- ½ cups Icing Sugar
- ½ cups Cornstarch
- ¾ cups Butter, Softened
- 2 ounces, weight Chocolate, Grated
- Chocolate Or Cashew Chunks, For Topping (optional)
Preparation
Sift and mix flour, icing sugar and cornstarch. Blend in butter and grated chocolate until smooth.
Shape into 1-inch balls and place on ungreased baking sheets. Flatten slightly with a fork. Or you can roll dough into 1/4-inch thickness and use cutters to make shapes.
Place a chocolate chunk or cashew into each cookie if you wish. Bake at 300ºF for 18–20 minutes. Cool completely and serve.
