Description
These Apple Donuts were inspired by an episode of Food Network’s The Kitchen. Of course, theirs were made with peanut butter and Nutella. Yum!
They looked really good, so I decided to make a healthier version. Instead of regular peanut butter, I used my go-to powdered peanut butter, PB Fit. They also make a chocolate powdered peanut butter that I used in place of the Nutella.
Ingredients
- 2 Tablespoons PB Fit Or Peanut Butter Powder
- 2 Tablespoons Chocolate PB Fit
- 2 Apples
- FOR THE TOPPINGS:
- 4 Strawberries, Sliced
- 1 Medium Banana, Sliced
- 1 Tablespoon Kind Cinnamon Granola
- 1 Tablespoon Dark Chocolate Baking Chips
Preparation
Mix water into each PB Fit type (use amounts directed on package) and leave them separate.
Slice apples right through the core, into about 1/2-inch thick pieces. Using a melon baller or spoon, remove the center of the apple slice to resemble a donut.
Lay out apple slices and spread PB Fit on each of them, alternating flavors. Use your toppings to make the flavor creations you’d like.
