This recipe is simple and a family favorite!
Ingredients
- 1 pound Breakfast Sausage
- ¼ cups Butter
- ½ cups Flour
- 6 Eggs
- 1 cup Milk
- 1 pound Shredded Monterey Jack Cheese
- 2 cups Cottage Cheese
- 3 ounces, weight Cream Cheese, Softened
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Sugar
- 1 can (4 Oz. Size) Diced Green Chilies
Preparation
Brown the breakfast sausage over medium heat until done. Remove from heat and set aside.
In another skillet, melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Add flour and cook until smooth. Stir in browned sausage until well blended. Remove from heat and set aside.
Beat eggs in a mixing bowl. To the eggs, add milk, cheeses, baking powder, salt, sugar, the sausage mixture and green chilis.
Pour into a greased 9 x 13 baking pan and bake for 45 minutes at 350 degrees F.
