Homemade eggnog does not have to be complicated. A delicious and easy recipe for the holidays and new year.
Ingredients
- 6 Eggs
- 3 cups Milk
- 1 teaspoon Vanilla
- 2 Tablespoons Maple Syrup
- ⅛ teaspoons Cinnamon
- 1 pinch Clove
- Freshly Grated Nutmeg, For Garnish
Preparation
Whisk eggs. Add milk, vanilla, maple syrup, cinnamon, and clove and whisk together until everything is a uniform color of yellow. If you have a blender, you might want to blend it all together to make sure the consistency is smooth.
Chill in the refrigerator for at least an hour. Serve with fresh grated nutmeg.
Note: Eggnog uses fresh eggs of course, so make sure to consume within 1 to 1 1/2 days. If you have extra, make french toast or bread pudding!
