Mary’s Spiked Apple Cider

Description

This warms you up all the way to your toes! At Halloween, I give this out to the parents of our trick-or-treaters.

Ingredients

  • 2 bottles (64 Oz., Each) Apple Cider
  • ¼ cups Brown Sugar
  • 1-½ teaspoon Whole Cloves
  • 8 sticks Cinnamon
  • 1 piece Fresh Ginger (1 1/2 Inches), Peeled And Sliced Into Thin Chunks
  • 1 whole Orange. Use 2 Thick Slices Of The Orange And All Of The Peel.
  • 1-½ cup Apple Jack Brandy (or To Taste)

Preparation

Place all of the ingredients, except the brandy, in a large sauce pan. Heat to just boiling and turn down immediately to low.

Simmer for 25 minutes. Add brandy, and simmer on low for 5 more minutes. Strain. Serve warm. Enjoy!
