Description
One Saturday after Christmas shopping in Charleston, I stopped at Ted’s Butcherblock on East Bay St. Back in February I blogged about what a wonderful restaurant and store it was and remembered their awesome Wagyu beef sandwich. This time I purchased some to take home and fix Sweetie and me a movie-watching snack. If you want to spoil your guests with a hearty and tasty appetizer, try preparing this one!
Ingredients
- 4-½ Tablespoons Margarine
- 1-½ Tablespoon Creamy Horseradish Sauce
- 24 slices Sourdough Cocktail Bread Squares
- 24 Tablespoons Finely Shredded Swiss Cheese
- 24 slices Plum Tomato, Thinly Sliced
- 24 slices Onion, Thinly Sliced
- 24 slices Thin, Good Quality Roast Beef
Preparation
Lightly grease a cookie sheet and preheat the oven to 350ºF.
Mix the margarine and horseradish sauce together. Spread ¾ of a teaspoon of the margarine mixture on one side of each cocktail bread square. Toast the bread in the oven for 5-6 minutes.
Remove and top each piece of bread with 1 tablespoon of shredded Swiss cheese. Return to the oven and let cheese melt, another 4-5 minutes.
Remove and top with a slice of tomato, onion and then beef.
