Description
Creamy hot cocoa with a touch of salt.
Ingredients
- ⅓ cups Cocoa Powder
- ¾ cups Sugar
- ⅓ cups Boiling Water
- 3-½ cups Milk
- ¾ teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- ⅛ teaspoons Sea Salt
- ½ cups Godiva Or Bailey’s Liqueur
- ½ cups Heavy Cream, Whipped And Sugared
- Cocoa Powder And Cinnamon, For Sprinkling
Preparation
Combine the cocoa and sugar in a saucepan. Blend in the boiling water. Bring this mixture to an easy boil while you stir. Simmer and stir for about 2 minutes. Watch that it doesn’t scorch. Stir in milk and heat until very hot, but do not boil!
Remove from heat and add vanilla, sea salt and liqueur. Divide between 4 mugs. Add the whipped cream to the mugs of cocoa to cool it to drinking temperature. Sprinkle with cocoa and cinnamon.
