Description
Peaches and nectarines are a delicious summer touch to this healthy whole wheat pizza.
Ingredients
- 1 pound Trader Joe’s Whole Wheat Pizza Dough (or Other Pizza Dough Or Pre-made Crust Of Your Choice)
- ½ cups Pizza Sauce
- 6 ounces, weight Thinly-Sliced Mozzarella
- 4 ounces, weight Thinly Sliced Prosciutto
- 1 cup Chopped Stone Fruits (peach And Nectarines Work Best)
Preparation
Preheat oven to 400ºF if using Trader Joe’s pizza dough. Otherwise, set your oven to the temperature specified on your pizza dough/crust instructions. Spray a pizza stone or baking sheet with nonstick cooking spray and set aside.
Roll out dough on a lightly floured surface according to package instructions and transfer to pizza stone or baking sheet. Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough, top with slices of mozzarella cheese, then prosciutto, and sprinkle the chopped fruit on top.
Bake pizza for 20–25 minutes, until crust is deep brown (for whole wheat) or golden brown (for regular crust) and puffy. (The Trader Joe’s pizza dough recommends a cook time of 8–10 minutes; my pizza took about 26 minutes to cook all the way through.)
