Description
This take on the Fizz cocktail pairs Teeling’s Irish Whiskey with the aromatics of black tea.
Ingredients
- FOR THE COCKTAIL:
- 1-½ ounce, fluid Teeling’s Irish Whiskey
- 1 ounce, fluid Lemon Juice
- 1 ounce, fluid Black Tea Simple Syrup (Recipe Included)
- ¾ ounces, fluid Egg White
- 2 dashes Barrel Aged Orange Bitters
- 3 ounces, fluid Soda Water
- FOR THE BLACK TEA SIMPLE SYRUP:
- 1 cup Water
- 1 package (Individual Size) Earl Gray Tea (Use Irish Breakfast Tea For A More “Irish” Cocktail!)
- 1 cup Sugar
Preparation
Add all ingredients except soda water to a cocktail shaker without ice and “dry shake” to froth the egg white. Add ice and shake again.
Strain into a highball glass without ice and top with soda water.
For the black tea simply syrup:
Boil water and add tea bag. Let steep for 5 minutes, then discard tea bag. Add sugar and stir until it has dissolved. Cool before using.
