Description
A camp fire treat, but one that will cool you down! Blend nicely toasted marshmallows into a vanilla malted and sip on summer nostalgia.
Ingredients
- 11 Marshmallows (large, Jet-puffed Size)
- 4 Scoops Vanilla Ice Cream
- 2 Tablespoons Whole Milk
- ¼ teaspoons Vanilla Extract
- 2 Tablespoons Malt Powder
- Optional For Garnish: Whipped Cream Topping
Preparation
Preheat your broiler to high. Position a rack in the top of your oven. Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil.
Lay out the marshmallows on the baking sheet. Put it into the oven and broil for 3 minutes. Remove pan from oven and flip over the marshmallows. Broil for 1 minute more. Remove pan from oven and set it on a rack. Let the marshmallows cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes.
Set 1 marshmallow aside and put the rest in a blender. Add the ice cream, milk, vanilla extract, and malt powder. Blend until thick and smooth. You may need to stop the blender and move the mixture around a bit with a spatula, since it will be thick. If the malted is too thick for you, thin it out with another tablespoon of milk.
Pour into your serving glass. Top with whipped cream and the reserved toasted marshmallow. Enjoy!
