Description

Quite possibly the best appetizer out there—tuna tartar on a rice cracker with cucumber.

Ingredients

  • ½ pounds Fresh Tuna, Diced
  • 1 teaspoon Soy Sauce
  • 2-⅓ Tablespoons Lime Juice
  • 1 whole Lime, Zested
  • ½ teaspoons Sesame Oil
  • 2-⅓ Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • ¼ teaspoons Wasabi Powder
  • ⅓ whole Avocado, Peeled, Pitted, And Diced
  • ½ whole Long English Cucumber, Thinly Sliced (using A Mandolin If You Have One)
  • 35 whole Rice Crackers
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Seeds

Preparation

In a large bowl combine tuna, soy sauce, lime juice, zest, sesame oil, olive oil, wasabi and avocado. Let the mixture marinate in the fridge for one hour.

To assemble dip a cucumber slice into the tuna tartar mix (to act as a glue) and add the slice to the rice cracker. Top with a spoonful of tuna tartar mix and sprinkle with sesame seeds.

Serve immediately (do not assemble until ready to serve).
