Description
Quite possibly the best appetizer out there—tuna tartar on a rice cracker with cucumber.
Ingredients
- ½ pounds Fresh Tuna, Diced
- 1 teaspoon Soy Sauce
- 2-⅓ Tablespoons Lime Juice
- 1 whole Lime, Zested
- ½ teaspoons Sesame Oil
- 2-⅓ Tablespoons Olive Oil
- ¼ teaspoons Wasabi Powder
- ⅓ whole Avocado, Peeled, Pitted, And Diced
- ½ whole Long English Cucumber, Thinly Sliced (using A Mandolin If You Have One)
- 35 whole Rice Crackers
- 1 teaspoon Sesame Seeds
Preparation
In a large bowl combine tuna, soy sauce, lime juice, zest, sesame oil, olive oil, wasabi and avocado. Let the mixture marinate in the fridge for one hour.
To assemble dip a cucumber slice into the tuna tartar mix (to act as a glue) and add the slice to the rice cracker. Top with a spoonful of tuna tartar mix and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
Serve immediately (do not assemble until ready to serve).
