Soccer ball cake recipe

A cake in the shape of a soccer ball that is both visually appealing and delicious to eat. Ideal for making as a birthday cake for all football fans, perhaps with the colors of your favorite team incorporated.

Ingredients

  • 3 medium eggs
  • 50 grams of sugar
  • 80 grams of floura
  • pinch of salt
  • 3 medium eggs
  • 50 grams of sugar
  • 50 grams of flour
  • 30 gr of bitter cocoaa
  • pinch of salt
  • 80 ml of water
  • 50 grams of sugar
  • 1 vial of vanilla aroma

Instructions

    1. Begin by making the two biscuits. Separate the yolks from the whites and weigh everything. Preheat the oven to 200° C and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
    2. Whisk the egg whites until stiff in a mixing bowl. In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and sugar with an electric mixer until the mixture is puffy and frothy. Sift in the flour and season with salt. Finally, gently fold in the whipped egg whites. Pour the mixture into the pan and even it out with a spatula. 7 minutes in the oven
    3. For the cocoa biscuit, repeat the process of combining the sifted cocoa with the flour.
    4. Bring the water and sugar to a boil in a saucepan to make the syrup. After it has cooled, add the vanilla flavoring and place it in the refrigerator.
    5. Print the hexagon and pentagon shapes on thick cardboard with 3.5 cm sides
    6. Wrap cling film around a 1.5-liter (20-cm-diameter) salad bowl. In the cocoa biscuit, cut out a circle the same size as the salad bowl and 6 pentagons. Instead of a regular biscuit, cut out 10 hexagons. Save the clippings.
    7. Begin by arranging a cocoa pentagon on the bottom of the salad bowl, followed by 5 hexagons. Continue to shape the balloon as shown in the photos. Fill in the gaps with the natural biscuit scraps. Using a pastry brush, brush the inside of the cake with the vanilla syrup.
