Mack's tuna burgers recipe

Low-fat, meat-free burgers that taste almost exactly like meat burgers. Great for the guy trying to lower cholesterol.

Total Time 19 minutes


  • 1 can (5 ounes) of tuna packed in water, drained
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg white


    1. Combine the tuna, teriyaki sauce, breadcrumbs and egg whites in a bowl until they are well combined and there are no large pieces of tuna left. Season with black pepper, garlic and hot sauce. Mix well and then form two empanadas.
    2. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Cook the burgers until browned on both sides, about 2 minutes per side.
