- 40 g of butter
- Remove the sandwiches' tops, cutting them with a serrated knife, and empty the breadcrumbs. Brush the insides of the sandwiches and the cover with melted butter, season with salt, and stuff with your favorite ingredients: cooked ham, raw or speck, bacon, soft or seasoned cheese, leftover cooked vegetables like spinach, asparagus tips, artichokes, aubergines, and diced boiled potatoes.
- Place an egg in the center of each sandwich and season with salt and pepper. Place the sandwiches on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and reposition the caps with the cut side facing up.
- Bake the sandwiches for 10 minutes at 180° in a preheated oven, then cover with a sheet of parchment paper and cook for another 10 minutes. Serve the sandwiches with the crispy caps and a teaspoon on the side.
